Couldn't Have Said It Better Myself

If you click on the title of this post, or on the "Patricia Ritsema van Eck" link to the right, I want you to read how fellow Simpleology enthusiast, Patricia, perfectly describes the struggle between staying in our old habit patterns and making quality, life-changing improvements in our habit patterns on a daily basis.

She describes why it's CRUCIAL to take the Simpleology lessons one day at a time, and has the best reason I've ever seen for not running to your email every morning as though your life depended on it. Here's what she says about that, and be sure to check out the rest of her post (it will help you if you are getting lazy with your Simpleology lessons)...

"The hardest habit to kick is opening my mailbox first thing. Even though I *know* it will mess up my praxis. Almost always there will be at least one *urgent* email that I *have to* respond to straight away.

Urgent? Get over it! If it is really urgent, the phone would be ringing..."

I couldn't have said it better myself!

5 Easy Steps To Getting Back On Track!

Hey look, I have a confession to make...

I realize that after the initial excitement of discovering Simpleology, it isn't always easy to stay committed to the daily ritual of doing the assignments, reading the Virtuosity book, and listening to the audios.

It's easy to look at the entire program as a whole and get overwhelmed with all the information that Mark Joyner is providing us in Simpleology 101. Afterall, aren't those of us who get overwhelmed easily the ones who truly need this training the most?

Also, isn't it also true that anything free is easily pushed aside because we either consciously or subconsciously think that it must not be worth much if we didn't have to pay for it?

Maybe you've been through your first few lessons and you are getting frustrated with the fact that you are urged to NOT skip ahead in the material, and so you're starting to get bored and unfocused on the task at hand... forgetting that taking these lessons one bite at a time is in your own best interest.

Maybe you took advantage of the one-time offer of Simpleology 102, with all of it's bonuses, and you have spent countless hours bouncing back and forth from bonus to bonus, back to 101, back to some other bonuses, over to 102 (shame on you), and back and forth... and now you're just confused as heck where to turn next!

Or maybe you've allowed yourself to journey over to everyone's favorite excuse for getting off track, a little place called "Google", to search for other resources of how to stay focused, looking for a quicker solution (and while visiting one of those sites, you clicked on a link that took you to another site, then another, yada yada yada... you know what I'm talking about).

Well, if any of this describes you, stop what you're doing RIGHT NOW and listen to me.

1. Do yourself a favor and return in your mind to the day you originally signed up for Simpleology 101, and how determined you were to make this thing work, to "get yourself right", and move onto 102 when you were done with 101, and ready to advance your skills.

2. Take whatever bonuses you received if you purchased 102, and create a folder in your "Favorites" called "Download Links", and save the download page to your bonuses in this folder and name the page "Simpleology 102 bonuses", or something similar.

3. Finally, put any other site that you've discovered that offers ways of improving yourself, including the one I recommend on this blog by Tellman Knudson, into a folder called "Self-Improvement".

4. Then, if you've fallen behind in your daily lessons of 101, get caught up RIGHT NOW, because each lesson is so short.

5. Take some time to read in the Virtuosity book up to the day you should be at in your lessons, to tie it all together.

Believe me... I know how easy it is to get off track. Why do you think I'm following the Simpleology 101 program to begin with?

I hope this helps!

Learn To Focus Better

I can't stress enough how truly POWERFUL the Simpleology program is for helping anyone get their life on track. In just the first 4-5 days of following the program, I'm experiencing a huge increase in efficiency and focus.

However, I want to make you aware of something that has drastically increased the effect that Simpleology is having on my life.

I was introduced to Simpleology by my good friend, and noted hypnotist and NLP expert, Tellman Knudson. I was speaking with him on the phone shortly after gaining access to his fantastic teleseminar he had with Alex Mandossian, where he gives several tips on how anyone can learn to focus and stop procrastinating, when he told me about Simpleology.

Because I completely trust Tellman's recommendations, I knew Simpleology had to be good.

Well, after beginning the Simpleology program, I began listening to Tellman's teleseminar with Alex, and I was totally blown away. He had so many inspiring things to say about people with attention deficit problems, that I realized something magical was happening...

I was not only improving my efficiency by following the Simpleology program, I was also incorporating what I was learning from Tellman's audio to use my attention deficit tendencies (I don't like to say "disorder") to my benefit.

It's hard to explain how you can actually use your attention problems TO YOUR BENEFIT in a single blog post, but if you have the same problems I have staying focused on one thing at a time, allowing distractions to get you off track, or if you just want something that will greatly enhance what you're learning from Simpleology, I HIGHLY recommend that you learn more about Tellman's teleseminar (you can click on the "Learn To Focus Better" link to the right, as well).

Let me know what you think!

How To Get More From Simpleology!

I mentioned in a previous post that I highlighted important details as I read through the Virtuosity book. I highly recommend doing this, and here is how I'm using this little extra strategy to help retain the information I learn on a daily basis...

After doing today's assignment:

1. Read your current day's lesson in the Virtuosity book.
2. Highlight the most crucial points made on that day.
3. Write ONLY those points you highlighted onto a sheet of paper.
4. Put that sheet of paper in your binder right before your next day's assignment on your Checklist.
5. The next day, start by reading that page(s) of highlights.
6. Turn the page and begin today's lesson in the checklist.
7. Go back to step 1 and repeat.

For example, I am currently on day #4. I've highlighted the major points that I have read, I wrote those major points neatly on yellow legal paper, and I placed that paper in my binder so that when I go to tomorrow's lesson, that page is the first thing I see. I will then instantly read all of the highlighted points BEFORE beginning that day's lesson. This gives me a great way of retaining the info that I read on previous days.

Once you've done this once, you'll see how quick and easy it is. Yeah, it takes a few minutes to write down the highlighted points onto a piece of paper, but for someone who has a million ideas a day, this helps me get back on track.

Let me know if this helps, and good luck!

I Can't Believe It!

I can't believe that I have actually followed through with something without getting sidetracked!

I actually learned of the Simpleology program 3 days ago, 8/29/05, and when my good buddy, Tellman Knudson told me about the site, I immediately checked it out.

Here's what I did that very first day...

* Read the web site
* Signed up for free Simpleology 101 - DID NOT sign up for 102 (why in a minute)
* Printed out the checklist (3-hole punched it and put it in a binder)
* Watched the Quick Start video
* Did lesson 1, took the quiz, answered the questions
* Printed and posted the Memory Joggers in 3 places around my house
* Printed the Virtuosity book (added it to the binder)
* Read the ENTIRE Virtuosity book from front to back
* Used a highlighter on important statements as I read
* Burned the MP3 audios onto a CD so I can listen to it when I work out

I DEFINITELY followed through on that first day with everything I was supposed to do, and since one of the final instructions for the day was to read as much of the Virtuosity book as I want, I just read the WHOLE DARN THING!

I want to cheat so bad by jumping ahead, but I understand that I'll get more out of it taking it one day at a time, so that's what I'm committed to doing.

Now, I really wanted to take advantage of the special, one-time offer for Simpleology 102, but the way I looked at it was that if/when I get it, I'm getting it strictly for the program itself, and not for the bonuses that I would have received by getting it on day 1.

Also, since my main problem is lack of focus, I know myself well enough that if I got 102, not only would I be jumping around looking at the different bonuses, but curiosity would get the best of me, and I'd neglect 101 to dive into 102.

So I thought it best to force myself to be patient (another problem I have... impatience), follow 101 how it's laid out, and because I was already sold on 101, I knew that I would eventually get 102 anyway. Heck, that's half the reason, I think, for wanting to rush through 101... so I can take advantage of 102.

But I guess I'll be a good boy... at least in this instance. (wink, wink)

What Motivates Me...

Everyone has their own motivations for wanting more out of life, but here are my 3 main reasons for following the Simpleology system...

I know, I know... there are 4 kids in the picture, but only 3 of them are mine. The one sitting in the wagon on the left is actually T.J., the stepbrother of my two older sons, Korbin (standing) and Kurtis (kneeling). My youngest son, Kaden, is the one sitting on the right.

My boys mean EVERYTHING to me, and I love all kids, as well. I coach a Little League baseball team, and those boys are more than just ball players to me... they're like my own! You can see the web site I created for our team here.

Don't get me wrong, I definitely want to enjoy all that life has to offer, but the true motivating force behind my intense desire to succeed is to be able to teach my kids that they can achieve absolutely ANYTHING in life that they choose, and that they don't have to work 9-5 in a job that they HATE in order to make a living.

I also have a very loving wife who truly is my best friend, and she deserves all that life has to offer, as well. As a kindergarten teacher, she also has an intense love for children.

My goal is to follow the Simpleology program to a T, use it to increase my productivity, track my progress along the way via this blog and other means, and pass on what I learn to my children.

Ultimately, I plan to help teach kids/teenagers that they are able to achieve the highest levels of success in life, regardless of their grades in school, what teachers say about them, what "disabilities" they supposedly have, and so on.

But as I will teach them, "it all starts with me", so let's get this baby started!

Simpleology ROCKS!

That was my first reaction once I discovered this fantastic solution for FINALLY getting over my problems with procrastination and lack of focus. I was getting to a point where I began praying to God that he would help me "get my mind right", and allow me to become more focused in my life.

I have created this blog as a way to track my progress as I advance through the *FREE* Simpleology 101 course, as well as provide different tips to OTHER Simpleology enthusiasts on what seems to be working well for me.

I know there are many people out there who are in the same boat as I am... have trouble completing tasks, have a ton of ideas all day long and don't know which one to try first, spend too much time learning instead of DOING, and on and on.

If you're one of these people, and you are interested in seeing what's working for me, please come back here and visit whenever you get a chance.

Feel free to make comments to my posts anytime, and feel free to contact me by sending me an email. Also, if you have your own blog that is geared toward your journey through the Simpleology program, and you would like for me to put a link to it on my blog (and a link to my blog on your site), please just let me know!

This should be a fantastic journey!
